1. Acceptance
By using vivoexpeditions.com, booking a tour, or providing your phone number, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Bookings & payments
- Public prices include 13% Costa Rican VAT. Card/PayPal payments include a 3% processing fee.
- Your booking is confirmed once payment (partial or full, depending on tour type) is received.
- Booking windows: 12h guided tours, 1h day pass, 48h expeditions, 36h reschedule.
3. Cancellation & refunds
Detailed policies by tour type are at /policies (day tours, multi-day, workshops). The specific terms for your booking are always confirmed in your booking confirmation email.
4. SMS & WhatsApp messaging
- By providing your phone number you agree to receive transactional messages (confirmation, receipt, reminder, itinerary changes) via SMS and/or WhatsApp from +506 6005 9862 or our Telnyx sending number.
- Frequency varies with your booking. Message and data rates may apply.
- To opt out of SMS reply STOP. For help reply HELP or email info@vivoexpeditions.com.
- We do not sell or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Liability
Tours take place in natural environments. We operate with certified guides and insured vehicles. Guests are responsible for disclosing relevant medical conditions and carrying travel insurance where appropriate.
6. Weather & force majeure
If weather or force majeure events prevent safe operation, we offer rescheduling or credit per our published policies.
7. Intellectual property
VIVO Expeditions content, photos, and brand are protected. Guest photos submitted to our gallery may be published with credit; see the gallery section for details.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Costa Rica. Any dispute will be resolved before the competent courts of San José, Costa Rica.
