    The experience

A daytime multiflash macro session at a private frog pond and rainforest edge in Boca Tapada. Edward locates Red-eyed Tree Frog (Agalychnis callidryas) posed on Heliconia leaves, Reticulated Glass Frog, Strawberry Poison-dart Frog, Green-and-black Poison Frog, Smilisca tree frogs, and the iconic Eyelash Pit Viper (Bothriechis schlegelii) coiled on low vegetation. All subjects are wild — never staged or handled. The multiflash setup delivers even, diffused light for razor-sharp macro portraits at any hour of the day. Three sessions available: 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.

    Edward's field tips

Never touch amphibians — even clean human skin is toxic to them. The multiflash rig is dialled in for f/16–f/22 macro at ISO 200; bring a manual-capable body. Sessions run rain or shine.
