The experience
The Agami Heron (Agamia agami) is considered one of the world's most beautiful herons — chestnut, emerald and slate plumage with an elongated pale-blue crest during breeding. The colony we visit contains 40–80 nests on low branches over water, active March through June. Access is by boat only, with a fixed observation platform at respectful distance (~15–25 m). Edward coordinates directly with the private landowner and rotates visits to prevent nest abandonment. Photography is silent, no flash, no playback.

Edward's field tips
Book 30+ days in advance — season is short and slots fill fast. The Agami Heron is IUCN Vulnerable; ethics come first. If nest activity is unusually low the day of visit, Edward will move the group to alternate hides.
