    January – April

    Driest months, peak season. Best light for photography; book 4-6 months ahead.

    May – June

    Green season begins. Fewer travelers, lush forest, excellent frog and macro activity.

    July – August

    Family season with a drier window in Arenal. Nesting birds and active wildlife.

    September – October

    Quietest months in the Caribbean slope; great value and dramatic skies.

    November – December

    Rain eases, holidays fill fast. Christmas and New Year dates sell out first.

    1. Send your 2027 dates, party size and interests. No payment, no card.

    2. We confirm guide and transport availability and send a written quote with taxes included.

    3. You approve, we send a secure payment link, and your dates are locked with your guide.

    When should I book Costa Rica tours for 2027?

    For January to April 2027 and the Christmas/New Year window, request dates 4 to 6 months ahead. Guides, private transport and small-group slots for those weeks fill first. For green season (May to October) 4 to 8 weeks is usually enough.

    Can I hold 2027 dates without paying now?

    Yes. Send a request with your dates and we reply with availability and a written quote. No card is charged when you request; payment links are only sent once you approve the plan.

    Will 2027 prices change?

    Rates published today already include 13% VAT and card fees. Once we send you a written quote for 2027 dates, that amount is the amount you pay, even if our public rates move later.

    What is worth booking first for a 2027 trip?

    Airport transfers on arrival and departure days, then any dawn birding or photography day that depends on one specific guide, then the Boca Tapada full-day expedition (limited hides). Hot springs and hanging bridges can be arranged closer to the date.

    Do you plan multi-day 2027 itineraries with transport included?

    Yes. We build day-by-day plans across Arenal, Monteverde, Manuel Antonio, Boca Tapada and Guanacaste, with private transfers quoted separately per route and hotel. One local team coordinates every leg.
