    Day by day

    Day 1 — Welcome to Costa Rica

    San José → La Fortuna

    Your private driver meets you at SJO airport for the scenic drive north to La Fortuna (about 3 hours), with a coffee stop along the way. Check in and enjoy your first evening under Arenal Volcano.

    Day 2 — Volcano, waterfall & hot springs

    La Fortuna

    Morning hike across the 1968 lava flow with views of Arenal, then the 500 steps down to La Fortuna Waterfall for a swim. End the day soaking in the thermal pools at Baldi Hot Springs.

    Day 3 — Sloths, canopy & night walk

    La Fortuna

    An early walk on the Bogarín Trail for near-guaranteed sloths, then 16 hanging bridges through primary rainforest at Místico. After dark, a guided night walk at Ecocentro Danaus to look for red-eyed tree frogs and snakes.

    Day 4 — River safari & departure

    La Fortuna → San José

    A calm morning float on the Peñas Blancas River to look for sloths, monkeys and herons, then a private transfer to SJO airport.
