    Day by day

    Day 1 — Welcome to Costa Rica

    San José → La Fortuna

    Your private driver meets you at SJO airport for the scenic drive north to La Fortuna (about 3 hours), with a coffee stop along the way. Check in and enjoy your first evening under Arenal Volcano.

    Day 2 — Volcano, waterfall & hot springs

    Arenal 1968 lava-flow hike, a swim at La Fortuna Waterfall and a sunset soak at Baldi Hot Springs.

    Day 3 — Sloths, bridges & coffee

    Bogarín Trail for sloths and trogons, Místico Hanging Bridges, and a hands-on coffee, chocolate and sugar-cane tour at the Don Juan family farm.

    Day 4 — River safari & free afternoon

    La Fortuna

    A peaceful float on the Peñas Blancas River spotting sloths, monkeys and Agami Herons. The afternoon is free — or add canyoning or rafting.

    Day 5 — Birds at dawn & a second night tour

    La Fortuna

    Dawn birding at Arenal Observatory, one of the richest birding areas around the volcano. In the evening, Papa's Place Night Tour — small, intimate and full of frogs and snakes.
