You share a VIVO naturalist guide with other travelers looking for the same thing you are — real wildlife, good light and an honest explanation of what you are seeing. Exact capacity depends on the experience. The itinerary, certified guide and safety standards are the same as our Private Tour; what changes is that the departure time is set and the group sets the pace. Transport is never shared: if you add it, it is private door-to-door for your party only.

The classic La Fortuna combo condenses the three most iconic experiences of the Arenal region into a single, well-paced day with private transport and a bilingual naturalist guide. You begin at Mistico Arenal Hanging Bridges Park — a 3.5 km main forest trail and six suspension bridges up to 95.5 meters long and 38 meters above the forest floor that give eye-level access to toucans, motmots, orioles and, on lucky mornings, sloths and eyelash pit vipers. From there you continue to the Arenal 1968 Trails, a private reserve that borders Arenal Volcano National Park and preserves the actual 1968 lava flow that gave the volcano its modern cone; the interpretive walk explains the eruption, the geology of the region and the succession ecology that reclaimed the slope, with panoramic views of the volcano and Lake Arenal. The day closes at the La Fortuna Waterfall — a 70-meter cascade tucked in a canyon of primary rainforest, reached by 500 stairs — with time for a swim in the plunge pool. The pace is relaxed enough for families and photographers, and a typical Costa Rican lunch at a local restaurant is included.
