VIVO Expeditions is a small, family-run operator based in La Fortuna. Every wildlife tour is led by an ICT-certified naturalist guide who works the same forests year-round, which is why our guests see species that most day-trippers walk past: sloths logged tree by tree, roosting owls, eyelash vipers coiled on heliconia, and Great Green Macaws at their nesting trees in Boca Tapada. Groups stay small on purpose — private by default, semi-private capped so everyone gets time at the scope.
We also coordinate the parts most agencies leave to you: private transport quoted by hotel and zone, realistic timing between parks, flexible payment (deposit now, balance before travel) and one WhatsApp thread with the person who actually planned your day. If a species window matters — the Agami Heron colony from March to June, macaw nesting, dry-season birding — we tell you honestly before you book.
